The large white, ivory Moroccan rugs from the Beni Ouarain Berber tribes are often made of shaggy ivory wool pile background with abstract black or brown diamond pattern. Each of this Beni Ouarain rug with their neutral and earthy colors is a primitive abstraction that is completely original to the weaver of the rug. The abstract geometrical designs together with its strong ethnic-minimal feel and authentic indigenous character, are the perfect rug for contemporary interior design. Recognizing the beauty of these rugs in the modern environment were such notable designers and architects as Charles and Ray Eames, Le Corbusier and Frank Lloyd Wright. These vintage rugs are one of a kind pieces, they rarely come on the market any more and are hard to find, we do not sell reproductions, we look only for authentic original old pieces. They have an organic quality and feel not found in their factory made copy. All the textiles you see are one-of-a-kind handwoven by Moroccan women usually for their own use.
