About the Piece

Antique Moroccan Tribal Brass & Copper Powder Flask / Drinking Canteen with Filigree Decoration A striking and highly decorative antique Moroccan tribal flask, handcrafted from brass and copper and richly embellished with intricate filigree metalwork, repoussé detailing, and colorful glass cabochons. Originally used as a drinking canteen or gunpowder flask, this impressive large-scale vessel reflects the artistry and craftsmanship of North African Islamic metalwork traditions. The circular body is beautifully hand-hammered and decorated with elaborate repoussé motifs enhanced by applied brass filigree and jewel-like glass accents. Two side loops remain intact for attaching a carrying strap, preserving its authentic tribal character. The warm patina and handcrafted details give the piece exceptional visual appeal and historical charm. Today, this rare vessel makes a dramatic wall-mounted sculpture or statement decorative object, ideal for Moroccan, Moorish, Spanish Colonial, Bohemian, or global-inspired interiors. A wonderful collector's piece combining folk art, tribal craftsmanship, and sculptural presence. Dimensions: 14 in. Diameter × 20.5 in. H × 4.5 in.
