Set of 4 Antique Victorian Balloon Back Dining Chairs. Fine quality set of 4 antique Victorian dining chairs having a quality mahogany balloon back with carved scrolls shaped carved pierced splat to the centre standing on shaped carved cabriole legs to the front and out swept back legs. 19th Century antique side chairs in in the style of William Trotter who was one of Scotland’s finest and certainly one of Edinburgh’s greatest cabinet makers, whose distinctive furniture is recognisable by its style and excellent quality. Pleasingly decorative suite of 4 dining chairs of fine quality and craftsmanship displaying a desirable aged patina and in good condition throughout. Striking frames with delightful carved finishes highlight the fine craftsmanship. Solid joints and construction. Traditionally stuffed cushions set at a comfortable height of 19''. This is an attractive set of 4 antique dining chairs, with a reupholstery which was made in early 20th century with a white boucle fabric. Condition: some small stains on the white fabric, in need of a new upholstery to match your design.
