Indian bronze metal Incense burner lidded box with peacock finial. An extraordinary, old lost wax cast bronze box from India, possibly Orissa. This Bronze Asian box is constructed as a cage made from many rolled wax wires in an organic swollen mango form, with a hinged lid surmounted by a stylized peacock exotic bird finial. This is an antique bronze essence perfume burner box. This high quality bronze was produced using the traditional 'lost wax' process, circa 1920. Measure: Height 6.5" x 4.5" diameter. Handcrafted in India.
